Frequently asked questions
What is Voolty today?
Voolty is an informational guide to cashback. We explain the model, the role of merchants and affiliate networks, and the conditions that can affect a reward. This site does not offer accounts, new cashback, a live store catalogue or an active shopping extension.
What is cashback?
Cashback returns part of the cost of an eligible purchase as a reward. In affiliate cashback programmes, a merchant pays a referral commission and the programme shares a portion with the shopper. Unlike a checkout discount, it usually requires later tracking and validation.
How much cashback can a shopper earn?
It depends on the programme, merchant, product and eligible purchase amount. Rewards may be a percentage or a fixed sum, and exclusions can apply to taxes, shipping, gift cards or particular categories. There is no universal rate. Voolty does not publish current cashback offers.
Why is cashback often free for the shopper?
A merchant funds the commission from its marketing budget. The cashback service uses part of the commission to cover its costs and shares part with the shopper. This can fund a programme without a separate membership charge, but other programmes may charge fees. Check their terms.
What does an affiliate network do?
An affiliate network can connect merchants with publishers and cashback services. It provides referral links, records reported transactions, coordinates validation and passes on commissions. Some merchants manage these relationships directly.
Can coupons and cashback be combined?
Sometimes, but it depends on the merchant and the programme. An unapproved coupon, another referral link or a different promotion may prevent commission. Read the offer conditions rather than assuming every discount can be combined.
Why might a purchase fail to track?
A referral can be interrupted by cookie settings, consent choices, ad blockers, switching devices or browsers, clicking another affiliate link, or technical reporting issues. A completed order is not proof that a cashback referral was recorded. Missing-transaction rules and deadlines differ by programme.
Are cookies always required?
Many affiliate programmes use cookies or similar technologies to associate a referral with a purchase. Requirements differ, and browser protections or consent choices can affect attribution. Review the relevant programme’s privacy and tracking information and choose settings you are comfortable with.
What is the difference between pending and confirmed cashback?
Pending means a transaction has been reported and still needs checks. Confirmed means it has been approved under the programme’s rules. A pending amount may change or be declined; confirmation and commission settlement can happen at different times.
How long does confirmation take?
There is no fixed industry deadline. Tracking can appear within hours or days, while validation can take weeks or months after returns and cancellation checks. Travel rewards may not be reviewed until after the stay or trip. Check the merchant’s stated timeline.
Can a reward be declined or adjusted?
Yes. Returns, partial refunds, cancellations, excluded products, ineligible coupon codes or a referral attributed elsewhere can reduce or remove commission. A programme’s review process does not guarantee that a missing or declined reward will be approved.
Is cashback the same as getting the lowest price?
No. Compare the total price, shipping costs and return conditions before buying. Treat cashback as a conditional extra, and avoid spending more just to earn a reward. An advertised percentage does not guarantee the best overall deal.
